RESELLER GUIDES / LIVE SELLING

Your 10-minute pre-show inventory reset.

Use this as a time box for a small lineup, not a promise that every show can be prepared in ten minutes. If you find unresolved inventory, give it more time before going live.

Minutes 0–2: confirm the lineup

Keep a small holding area for substitutions. Adding something to the table should not silently add it to the show. Confirm the record and ID first.

Minutes 2–4: check readable IDs

If a label has fallen off, compare any search candidate with the actual item’s details before relabeling. A matching color alone is not enough. Resolve the item before returning it to the ready lineup.

Minutes 4–6: agree on teammate signals

Decide how the host asks for the next item, how a teammate flags a mismatch, and who can mark an item sold. Try one practice handoff: the host reads an ID, the teammate opens the matching record, and both confirm the same item.

If you use ItemIQ Host View and Remote Host, check the intended display and controller before the show. See the actual web screens. Confirm your account, organization, and workflow setup; a product screenshot is not a substitute for a rehearsal.

Minutes 6–8: separate the outcomes

Prepare visibly distinct places for sold, unsold, and unresolved items. Use words on the labels so the system does not depend only on color. Keep identifying labels attached as items move. An item that needs payment or order review belongs in the unresolved group until confirmed.

Minutes 8–10: test the return path

After the show: reconcile before restocking

Compare physical items, show records, and the selling channel’s order information. Resolve discrepancies before marking an item available elsewhere. Exported files and store connections can require their own review; do not assume every channel updates automatically.

Save this checklist with your show notes and write down the one step that broke down. Improve that step before adding more complexity. For a consistent foundation, use our SKU setup example and ten-item inventory audit.
