ItemIQ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) builds tools for reseller product workflows, including our iOS/mobile application (“App”) and connected web experiences. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App or otherwise interact with our services described here.
We use the information we collect to:
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your photos and data are stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except:
Depending on features you enable, our services may integrate with third-party providers including:
Use of third-party accounts is voluntary and subject to those services’ respective terms and privacy policies.
We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and OpenAI (ChatGPT) ads measurement to measure public website visits, clicks to create an account or open our App Store page, completed website registrations, and which ads led to them. We do not include your name, email address, password or item records in these events, page addresses keep only Google ad-click identifiers and approved campaign tags, and we never enable advertising personalization or Google signals.
Without your OK (before you choose, or if you choose “No thanks”), Google's tag runs in consent mode with all storage denied: it sets no cookies and sends only limited, cookieless signals, such as the page, device and browser type, and whether an ad click led to a signup, which Google uses to estimate results in aggregate. If you choose “Accept cookies,” Google Analytics and Google Ads may use cookies and pseudonymous identifiers to measure visits and ad-driven signups more precisely. You can change your choice using “Analytics preferences” on our public pages. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
OpenAI (ChatGPT) ads. We also advertise in ChatGPT. Only if you choose “Accept cookies,” and only when your browser's time zone is outside Europe, we load OpenAI's measurement pixel, which may set cookies to tell us whether a ChatGPT ad led to a website signup. When you finish creating an account it sends OpenAI a registration event with a one-way coded identifier, never your name, email address, password, account ID or item records, and we do not turn on OpenAI's automatic matching of contact details. If you choose “No thanks,” the pixel never loads and its cookies are cleared.
When you create an account on our website, we also record on your account which of our campaign links or referring websites brought you (for example, an Instagram post or a partner link), so we can tell which marketing works. This is kept in your browser for up to 30 days before you sign up and is not shared with Google or other advertisers.
Google ad clicks. Only if you chose “Accept cookies” and arrived from a Google ad, we also keep that ad click’s identifier (a random code Google adds to the link) with your account. If you later save your first item in ItemIQ, our server sends Google Ads that click identifier and the time, once, so we can tell which ads lead to people who actually use ItemIQ. We never send your name, email address, password, account ID or item records with it, and choosing “No thanks” removes the identifier from your browser before signup.
The ItemIQ iOS app asks before collecting optional analytics. If you allow it, Google Analytics for Firebase collects app usage information, such as app launches, device model, operating system and app version, engagement, approximate location derived from your IP address, whether you saved your first item, and, if you installed the app from an Apple Search Ads result, which campaign and keyword it came from (Apple provides this without the advertising identifier). Analytics uses an app-instance identifier. We do not send your account ID, email address, item photos, descriptions, SKUs or upload paths as analytics data, we do not collect the advertising identifier, and we do not enable advertising personalization.
If you decline, the app does not collect analytics. You can change your choice at any time in Profile settings in the app; the choice applies to that device. Withdrawing stops future collection but does not delete data already collected.
Teams that use the ItemIQ browser extension for live selling and pick, pack and ship have a separate policy that explains what the extension reads on marketplace pages and what it sends to ItemIQ: ItemIQ browser extension privacy policy.
You have the right to:
If you created an ItemIQ login, you may permanently delete your account from inside the mobile App:
Profile → Settings → Delete account, then confirm.
What happens when your account is deleted:
users/{your account id} is deleted. What may not be erased immediately: uploaded images, SKU history, org-shared inventory datasets, aggregated analytics, backups, offline archives, and similar operational content may persist for a period for security, troubleshooting, contractual obligations tied to organizations you belonged to, or legal retention—even after your login is deleted. Such content typically cannot be recalled by signing in once your account deletion has completed.
